Every dot is an observed story, post, article or trending term pulled from public feeds. The map is rebuilt around shared topics — items talking about the same thing cluster together, regardless of which platform they came from.
Read first — Yellow rises, black is present, grey fades. Numbered story labels mark top observed stories and can be clicked like their dots. Rings mark memory/remnant; rule-marked labels mark cross-source convergence. The header separates rendered field nodes from the full recorder snapshot.
Thesis — This is not a trend ranking. It shows observed attention life-cycles: birth, burn, convergence, drift, memory and remnant. It is not prediction; it is descriptive, not predictive, and it does not claim causality.
What is happening — The compact brief now asks a visitor question first and opens the matching convergence when clicked. Field motion stays as secondary evidence in the brief and panel: code, reason, source count and observed source order. Live flow dots on convergence rosettes show active source pressure without turning the map into a blinking dashboard.
Encoding — Size is total reach. Yellow is surging, black is steady, grey is fading. Topic lines show similarity, darker links are real Wikipedia links, and rule-marked labels name cross-source convergence. Clicking a dot, signal card or convergence label zooms into that local reading and mutes the rest of the field. Drift is shown as a quieter directional state, anchored to its cluster label and panel reading.
Timeline builds — Timeline mode assembles the network from observed first-seen times. Lines ease in from endpoint birth, memory/remnant form becomes eligible only after the observed peak, and small direction markers indicate build direction; the historical structure appears gradually instead of arriving as a finished live hairball.
Detail panels — Click a dot for the source item. Click WHAT IS HAPPENING or a convergence label for the reading story: what this is, why it matters, where it appears, what carries it, and the evidence below. Trajectory means first observed source order; it is descriptive, not predictive.
REMNANT / MEMORY TRACE — Attention that remains visible after the observed peak; descriptive, not predictive.
Interaction — Legend explains mobile/desktop navigation, zoom controls, and Reset View. Numbered story labels are included there. Click a dot, numbered story label, or convergence label for details; click a source chip to mute that source. Archive signal rows reopen the verified field from that day, focus the matching signal, and show its preserved stories. Legend and Archive open as focused popups; Filter remains the source/filter drawer.
